Chapters
Every chapter has its own page with notes, a video overview, tools and practice. Tick a chapter off when you've finished it; the ticks are saved in this browser.
Other texts
We'll mostly work from The Logic Book. When we bring in another text, it's listed here and on the chapter page it supports, with a note on any differences in notation.
Notation in other books
| The Logic Book | Also written |
|---|---|
| ~ P | ¬P −P |
| P & Q | P ∧ Q P · Q |
| P ∨ Q | P ∨ Q |
| P ⊃ Q | P → Q |
| P ≡ Q | P ↔ Q |
You can type any of these into the tools on this site; they're converted to the book's symbols.
How each session works
Read the assigned sections before we meet, try the practice on the chapter page, and write down where you got stuck. We spend the session on those spots and on the discussion questions.
Bring to each session
- The sections you read and the exercises you tried (starred ones have answers in the back of the book).
- One exercise you got wrong or weren't sure about, with your attempt.
- Your notes from the "Questions for our session" box on the chapter page.
